Euan Baldwin

I’m Euan Baldwin, a robotics and physics graduate
now focused on AI safety operations.

I'm a First-Class MSc Robotics and BSc Physics graduate working in AI safety operations. I want advanced AI to be developed safely and to the benefit of everyone, and I believe I can contribute most by building and running the organisations and communities working on the problem.

Now

Operations for EA Global NYC 2026, a 1,500-person conference, at the Centre for Effective Altruism, and operations for the Fall 2026 Beijing AI Safety Residency at Tsinghua University with the Safe AI Forum.

Previously

Chair of Effective Altruism Manchester, where I ran its fellowship programmes end to end and grew the committee from 2 to 10; before that, robotics and physics at the University of Manchester.

Beyond Work

A Giving What We Can pledger since 2022, a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, and a keen traveller. My technical background keeps me close to AI safety research, news, and debate.
